It keeps your progress at the checkpoint, and respawns you where you would normally spawn let's say using the wall of wishes. I was able to one man shuro chi because if I died, I would just respawn and continue dealing damage. I am not 100% sure if this glitch applies to the rest of the encounters, but I will be sure to try.. Cat ninja cat
