Currently have the light/laser mounted on the bottom rail until the carbon fiber tube comes in. With the factory handguard the x400 takes up 3/4 of the 510c window when mounted on top. Cons: Slightly more expensive, it's composite and delamination might be an issue in the future, aluminum barrel nut. My observations so far. Only time will tell with the smoke composites handguard in relation to possible delamination. Based on reviews they can take a beating. Both companies stand behind their products. How interesting: Palmetto State Armory has put up a video of how to install a handguard... after they voided my warranty for "modifying" my PA10 rifle... by installing a new handguard. Of course, my PA10 needed warranty work because there were too many burrs in the chamber to even feed ammunition, but that didn't seem to matter.

I'm running the handguard and stock on my GMR-15. Handguard was as heavy as the stock barrel nut, so i removed like 11 ozs from the front of the gun. Stock is very adjustable and feels great against the shoulder. I initially had issues with the stock "shortening" as i shot, but once i torqued the screw down further, that fixed the issue.

Smoke Composites has an off the shelf 7.25" which "might" work but it'd be tight trying to get fingers in there to adjust the gas with a suppressor on.
