2024 Lincoln sp 125 plus problems

If your machine is a SP-125T, check the voltage selector switch. A bad switch will kill both weld power and wire feed. A bad switch will also prevent power from getting to the rectifier. Can you hear the transformer hum? if you can the problem is in the secondary wiring . IF you can not hear the transformer hum the problem is in the primary power side.Re: sp 125 plus and aluminum. The cable must be kept as strait as posible and dont twist it.Do this, you have to the wire back on to the reel. Once the gun is off, take a small piece of mig wire, bent into a u shape and poke it into the two gun switch cables. This will bridge the switch circuit and make the welder feed. I bought this for a upcomming thin-wall exhaust project. Thought id get in some practice for a while before i attempt the actual thing. By the way the 125 is pretty dam powerful. I am using .025 lincoln solid wire with NO gas as I dont have a tank yet.Scott you did notice though that I cast a vote for the SP 135 over the MM 135.
